Posts
Posts are the content pieces you compose in QiQ Social — written by hand, drafted with AI assistance, or a mix of both. Each post targets a channel, stores platform-specific content, and tracks its publishing status.
Post Lifecycle
Every post follows a status lifecycle:
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| None | Draft — created but not yet queued for publishing |
| Pending | Scheduled and waiting to be published |
| Running | Currently being published to the platform |
| Success | Successfully published |
| Failure | Publishing failed (see error details) |
Post Content
Each post stores content as a flexible JSON structure that adapts to the target platform:
Social Post Content
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Content | The post text (length varies by platform) |
| Media | Array of images/videos with type and URL |
Blog Post Content
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Article headline |
| Content | HTML-formatted body |
| Excerpt | Short summary for previews |
| Tags | Array of topic tags |
| Media | Featured image |
Discord-Specific Content
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Content | Message text |
| Media | Attached images |
| Embed | Rich embed with title, description, and URL |
Managing Posts
Posts live on the channel board. Open All Channels to see every post in the workspace, or a single channel to see only its posts. The board groups posts into columns:
| Column | Contains |
|---|---|
| Drafts | Posts not yet queued for publishing |
| Scheduled | Posts queued, publishing, or failed |
| Published | Posts that reached the platform |
From the board you can:
- Create — Compose a new post for one or several channels at once
- Preview — See how the post will appear on the target platform
- Edit — Modify post content, title, media, and other fields before publishing
- Publish — Publish a post immediately
- Delete — Remove posts you don’t want to publish
Switch to the calendar view to see the same posts laid out by date.
Editing Posts
Click on any post to open the post editor. The editor adapts to the content type:
- Social posts — Text editor with character count showing the platform’s limit
- Blog posts — Rich text editor (TipTap) for HTML content with title, excerpt, and tag fields
- Media — Upload, replace, or remove attached images
AI assistance is available while you write:
- Text — Proofread, rephrase, or generate copy in a chosen writing style
- Media — Search stock images, generate images with AI, or edit an attached image with a prompt
- Hashtags — Generate platform-optimized hashtags for the content you’ve written
Post Metrics
After a post is successfully published, QiQ Social can sync engagement metrics from the platform:
- Views/impressions
- Likes/reactions
- Comments
- Shares/reposts
Metrics are synced periodically and surfaced on the workspace dashboard.
